About Us

The Ajax Acro's Gymnastics Club has been in existence for over 50 years providing gymnastics training to the children of Ajax and the surrounding communities since 1973. The club is a not-for-profit organization supported by our members and fundraising activities which pay for the equipment, facilities, and coaches. 

All of our coaches at the club are nationally certified by the professional coaching association and most have multiple years of experience in the field as coaches, athletes, and mentors. 

The focus of the club is to provide a safe and fun environment for all participants (both experienced and novice) to learn and experience the benefits of gymnastics at their own pace in a safe and supportive way. 

The club uses a level system designed by the national sport association to track and measure students' progress. Members may join the recreational program and have the opportunity to enter the competitive programs which have produced many provincial champions in the five decades of our history.
 

Durham Whiz Kids Gymnastics Academy was opened in 1994. Eight enthusiastic families joined together to start the club. In September 1995, the club was recognized as a member club by Gymnastics Ontario.Attracting boys from all over Durham, the club has had many athletes enrolled in the program. They have achieved great success at the Interclub, Provincial and National level.
